Seeing the news and images from the recent events in the Philippines broke our hearts and this time it hit quite close to home. Lucy’s husband is from the Philippines and they have family there that came quite close to Typhoon Haiyan. By the grace of God, they are okay, but we couldn’t say the same for many who’ve lost their lives and lost their family members in the disaster.
In an effort to do whatever we can in our little corner on this earth, we are teaming up with Lydia of Ever Ours again and reaching out to our ever amazing community that helped with For Japan With Love. We know a lot of you aren’t likely to sit idly by and are looking to help. So we set up For Philippines With Love to specifically help with the Philippines. We are syncing up with ShelterBox again as the organization to donate to. DONATE NOW >.
To take it a step further, from now until Nov. 25, we will be donating 10% from every purchase of our first print magazine to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan. So if you’re getting your copy, please know that you are contributing to our efforts to help the Philippines and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. GET YOUR COPY NOW >.
Our friends Joanne and Jonathan Encarnacion of Encarnacion Photography put together this video and are offering portrait sessions to raise funds to donate to For Philippines With Love. Please take a look and support them if you can. Every little bit helps and together we can make a difference.

ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters at the time when they need it the most. Each large green ShelterBox is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items. A whole box costs $1,000 (US), so we’re hoping to raise enough to send 3 boxes. Please note that your donation will be restricted and guaranteed to go to the Philippines only.
