Be Brave and Show Yourself!

One thing we’re learning this year is to be brave and step out of our comfort zone to put ourselves out there. It’s scary, nerve-wrecking and exhilarating at the same time, but it’s really the only way to see how far we can go and what we can achieve. We’ve been seeing this over and over again with our friends in the industry, who’ve stepped out and showed the world what they can do, and we’re so very proud to be witnesses in their beautiful journey.

This is what we want to capture in our next special Wedding Design Details edition coming out in March, where we award and recognize those of you designers in the wedding industry who’ve put your heart and soul into your work and created something spectacular for your clients. We want this issue to be a collection of awesome vendors who deserve to be recognized in the industry! We’re looking for Event Planners & Designers, Floral Designers, Paper & Stationery Designers, Handmade Designers, and Calligraphy & Hand Lettering Designers to submit their best work into the Utterly Engaged Wedding Design Details Awards! We know it can be scary to put yourselves out there, but how can you know if  you didn’t even try? And because some of you have asked, we decided to extend the deadline to FEBRUARY 5, so here’s your chance to shine and show us what you’ve got!

To keep with this theme of expressing yourself and putting yourself out there, we want to share this couple’s engagement session, captured by Liz Anne Photography. We love how their mutual love for Japanese comics played a role in their engagement pictures, and how can we not love her blue hair! She looks like she could be a character in one of these comic books! Wouldn’t it be cool to see a blue-haired bride for her something blue? We think so!
