I’m excited to share that Utterly Engaged we’ll be heading to Wine Country for a 3 day creative retreat called “Oh So Inspired“. If you’re a creative entrepreneur and you’re looking to ignite passion into your creative wedding business this is a retreat to go too! Created by three of our creative friends from Northern California, Nancy, Mary, and Kelly we’re going to be diving deep into a weekend full of creative learning such as floral classes, sketching lessons, calligraphy tutorials, culinary cooking experiences, and a styled photoshoot with the one and only KT Merry. And I’ll be there to speak on a panel and host an intimate dinner too! If you’re curious to learn more about this retreat, head on to their website, reserve your seat and book your flight to Nor Cal. I really can’t wait to meet you!
Ever since we got the invite to Oh So Inspired, I’ve been obsessed with weddings in Wine Country. Especially with this rustic and chic wedding shared by photographer, Carli Statsky. The The Carneros Inn is absolutely gorgeous, I seriously contemplated the inn when I was planning my wedding, So when I found out Amy & Justin got married there a year ago (Happy Anniversary to them) I knew I had to share with you this hidden gem. Here are few words from the bride herself, “The Carneros Inn has the most beautiful backdrop (and even boasts some fire pits and bicycles). Our vision for the aesthetics of the wedding had been simple but elegant, minimal decor, nature-oriented. In our speech at our Welcome Dinner, my brothers joked about how the inn were are so “Amy & Justin,” such as fire pits, bike rides and all things ‘rustic chic.’ This may sound cheesy, but our wedding was so “Amy & Justin”. Our ceremony, surrounded by the rolling hills of Napa, was officiated by a close friend, making it intimate, touching and hysterically funny. We had an outdoor cocktail hour and an indoor reception. The decor was definitely rustic chic. Our floral designer, Julie Stevens, helped create the exact ambiance we wanted. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect spot or a more perfect team of vendors. The band was a blast and at one point my husband (!!) Justin got up and surprise serenaded me with Late in the Evening by Paul Simon. Our priority all along was to have the most fun dance party ever. Our mission was accomplished.”
