Fall has finally hit Southern California and I’ve been having a lot of fun dressing up with my scarves, jackets and boots. Besides summer, autumn is my favorite season!
We’re so excited to welcome Lotta of Mint Design and Mariel Hannah again to end our October with some gorgeous flowers! Remember their last post? Well this month it’s about the the warm colors of fall. The flowers, I just want to bury my face in it, it’s so pretty. Thank you ladies for sharing such beautiful florals on our blog again. I really can’t want to see what they’ll create next month! Stay tuned for another post later today, as they show us how to make a DIY fall floral wreath just like the one below. Perfect timing for the Thanksgiving.
From Lotta, “When we think of fall we generally think of warm earthy tones with pops of orange, reds, greens and yellows. Aside from those obvious color choices we think of various elements and textures that can be paired with the suggested tones in a mix matched way. Fall to us is the most exciting time of the year. Smells of pumpkin spice, the crinkling sound of leaves and cool evenings make this a special time of year. As a home body, hostessing and entertaining come naturally to me. There is something truly delightful about inviting people into your home, setting the table with your personal decor and nourishing their body and soul with a home cooked meal. Our table inspiration comes from items collected over time that were pieced with modern settings from our local Target. Our table is a vintage find we transformed by simply opening up the drawer and cascaded with ivy and red roses. A simple tray under the floral arrangement decorated with pears and Bittersweet Orange kernels was all the table needed to complete the hearty look.”
