The fashion, style and images from the 1920’s is so inspiring. Why not use this inspiration for your wedding day? With the help from an amazing group of vendors, Laura Westhoven did just that. She dreamt of a shoot that reflected a classic style full of feminine grace and beauty. She was drawn by the images that came from the 20’s that were timeless and modern, delicate and detailed, passionate and refined.

Makeup is such a huge part of a bride’s day don’t you think? Well just imagine if you didn’t go “natural”, but instead you decided to be playful and have that signature strong smoky eye, rose colored cheeks and deep blood-red lips that the 20’s were so known for. Thank you to the makeup artist, Karla Hargis of Temecula Make Up Studio and hair stylist Nancy Vestal Bridal Hair for inspiring us.

Some elements that create a cohesive 1920’s inspired wedding could be any or all of the following: metallic gold fabric, gold chandeliers and candelabra, large feather accents, floral arrangements, preferably in complimenting colors, and strings of pearls and crystals

The styles of the 1920’s makes such a fashion statement. Sandra Nicole Designs found real accessories, like the the veils, that was actual from the era! She recreated a look that was fun and flirty and glamorous, while keeping in mind the delicate details, soft silhouettes and elegant drop-waists that makes the era so unique.

With the help of Mark Martinez to capture the use of soft afternoon light, subtle colors, and vintage details and textures combined, the shoot that Laura Westhoven Laura Marie’s artfully gave us a romantic taste of elegance that I think many brides could be so inspired by for their own wedding day.
