Amazing wedding photographer, Cassie Xie teamed up with Portland, Oregon based event producers, Bright Night and floral designer, Solabee Florals to create a color-inspired photoshoot for the modern bride. Inspired by modern tones and the spring florals after a rainy day, they set out to play and discover vibrant colors rather than the neutral color palette that we’re seeing in weddings lately. And the result is beautiful and inspiring! For this shoot, I loved how they used natural elements such as a hanging hand painted wicker and dyed fabrics and paired them with floral elements on the ground. Solabee created some incredibly lush florals in loose, overflowing buckets. Tall spring branches reached up to connect with the hanging piece visually. In addition, the ladies of Solabee created a beautiful carpet of petals, inspired by the planet Jupiter. The palette was contemporary and bright, with a bit of avant-garde pastels (peach, pinks flanked with a pop of blue for energy). “To us, this bridal portrait session was about exploring the vivid colors of our world and having fun with modern bridal looks! We hope this session speaks to any bride out there who’s ever dreamed about having a little bit more color play on her big day. Viva la Colour!”
