Fall Wedding Inspiration in Washington

As an artist, when you are moved and inspired by nature you can’t help but create and celebrate such beauty. In today’s blog, Elsa and Hannah of juliet + lou had that exact moment. When they discovered Dandy Flower Co’s wild garden in Washington, they instantly fell in love. What was created was a stunning wedding shoot inspired by the romance of autumn. “The untamed rows of varying sized and shaped dahlias, the brown and burnt orange sunflowers, the anemones playing with the cosmos… can you say a garden is sexy? It was real, unfiltered, and effortlessly beautiful. We planned the shoot for October, just before the season’s first frost. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect: the autumn leaves were changing, grass was drying, and flowers were starting to droop, causing this untamed, romantic setting. It was gorgeous.”

Our theme quickly became “natural and effortlessly cool,” inspired by the garden and the modern trend running in high-fashion and interior design. We played on the juxtaposition between structured and free, shown in the clean lines and loose fitting sleeves of Houghton’s Gamila gown, Libby’s script lettering and modern font paper goods, and the lush, garden-inspired arrangements and glossy ceramics on the table.
