We are thrilled to introduce you to Jane Chong of Jane: An Event Design & Coordination Co. She’s an event designer and coordinator who’s passionate and incredibly talented at what she does with a super cute website to showcase it! We got a chance to ask her a couple questions to get to know the brain behind these beautiful weddings.
Tell us how you got into this event design business?
Inspired after planning my own wedding in August 2010, I realized my love for the wedding business. With an extensive background in Education, I’m a planner by nature and coupled with an eye for all things pretty, I took the leap in creating my own event design and coordination company and haven’t looked back since!

What’s your favorite thing about what you do?
Developing relationships with my clients has been the biggest blessing since entering the event design and coordination business. Words can’t express how grateful I am to have met some of the sweetest couples and what an honor it is to play such a significant role on their special day.

Do you have any tips for brides planning their wedding?
Being a former bride myself and now having the opportunity to collaborate with many brides, wedding planning can be overwhelming and stressful at times. Remember to focus on the bigger picture of your wedding day, which is celebrating your love with your family and friends.
Did you plan your own wedding? Would you do anything differently?
Yes!! Planning my wedding was what sparked my love for this business. Although I loved everything about my wedding and the process leading up to our wedding day, the first thing on my checklist would have been to hire a wedding coordinator sooner than later. Like many brides, I didn’t feel the need to hire one but in the end I ended up hiring one and it was one of the best decisions my husband and I made.
What’s your favorite wedding trend?
I love how couples have become craftier in creating handmade weddings that showcase a personalized reflection of who they are. Each couple’s story is so unique and different and their wedding should be a reflection of that.
